February 2 - Agenda: The caregiver/Parkinsonian split -- Those with Parkinson in one room and family members and caretakers in another. Goal is to be a positive experience to examine resources that are available to each group which has different needs. Even if you are by yourself either with Parkinson or as a caregiver, we hope this will still be beneficial and you are most welcomed. At the last meeting, a gentleman asked about help with depression. Depression is a part of having Parkinson’s and we’ll focus on helpful resources to fight depression.

JUNE 2017

June 1 - Guest speaker: Dr. Joe Schneider, DC will talk about the value of acupuncture. He has been in practice for 32 years and has utilized acupuncture since 1988. Practiced in Holton until February of this year when joined Dr. Charles LaValley's office at 4525 SW 21st. There is a great deal of research on the effectiveness of acupuncture for managing the symptoms and progression of Parkinson's.

June 14 - Join Catherine Peppers for Stories of Hope & Healing at Midland Care at 1112 W 6th Ave. (Between SW Clay & Buchanan)  Wed., June 14, 3:00 - 4:30 P.M. for presentation & book signing & Saturday, June 24 , 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. for book signing.
